Task 2.1. An analysis of an investigative report / article

Choose any investigative project you like and make an analysis of the investigative report on it (or an article about it), answering the following questions:

1. Where has this report / article been published? Why is this important?

2. Who is the author? Is there any information about his/her background?

3. Who is the intended audience?

4. Is the report / article written effectively to engage its intended audience? How has this been done?

5. Is there any evidence used to support the ideas presented in the text? What is this evidence? Is it biased?

6. Is this report / article funded by an external party? And why might this be important?

7. What strategies have been used to present ideas/arguments/evidence in terms of language use, structure, and visuals to convince the audience?

8. Does the author follow the basic ethical principles and ethical norms? Prove it.
