The course «History of Ukrainian Culture» is the educational component aimed at enriching and expanding humanitarian training, formation of creative activity, spiritual values, and outlook of future specialists.
The goal of the course is the formation of a system of competences regarding the patterns of the national historical and cultural process and the main achievements of the national culture, assimilation of universal and national cultural values and norms.
The tasks of the course are:
familiarization with the main historical periods of the formation of the phenomenon of Ukrainian culture, the patterns of its functioning and development;
mastering the fundamental concepts and categories of Ukrainian culture and understanding the trends of modern socio-cultural transformations in Ukrainian culture;
forming a sense of patriotism, national consciousness, a high level of spirituality, promoting the establishment of universal human values.
The object of study of the course is the monuments of spiritual and material culture, created over the centuries and recorded in one form or another.
The purpose of the course is the holistic process of creating monuments of spiritual and material culture, the study of these monuments as cultural phenomena, the historical conditions of their creation and the influence on the further development of culture.
